If the circuit extension path is cut randomly, the area above the cut point will lose power and thus cannot emit light.

The most common pitfall: cutting randomly on the circuit board without proper planning. The LED beads above the cut position will lose power directly and will never light up again. For example, if you want to cut the crystal film screen into an S shape, when you finally turn it on, you may find that only the lower part is lit, while all the LED beads above are not lit up. Not only have you failed to achieve the desired creative effect, but you have also wasted the cost of the entire screen. This is why it is essential to understand the circuit direction and whether the shape you need can be achieved with the LED crystal film screen before cutting.

To achieve "no waste and good results" in cutting, it is crucial to choose the right screen size first, to avoid "buying the wrong size and then cutting blindly":

Standard specifications: The module dimensions for all models are unified as 1000mm×240mm, 1200mm×240mm, and 1500mm×240mm. Simply put, the standard width is 240mm, and the length options are 1m, 1.2m, and 1.5m;

Splicing limitations: If large-area installation is required, horizontal splicing can be unlimited (using the 240mm width to achieve the desired size), but vertical splicing can only reach up to 3m - exceeding 3m may cause the screen's own weight to strain the circuitry, affecting long-term stability;

Shopping advice: First, measure the length and width of the installation location. For example, if the installation area is 1.3m long, choose a screen that is 1.5m long (and trim the excess 20cm later). If the area is 2.4m wide, simply use 10 screens with a width of 240mm to be horizontally spliced. Avoid buying screens that are too long or too short, as this will not only waste materials but also increase the cost of additional splicing.

Considering the "bendable and tailorable" characteristics of crystal film screens, the following two types of cutting methods are the most commonly used and yield the best results, with the key being to avoid circuit damage:

1. Brand identity / Concise design: Cut triangle

For triangles suitable for store signage and indoor small signs, the core is to plan the cutting direction and measure the cutting distance:

Step 1: First, measure the dimensions of the triangle, and then calculate the number of crystal film screens required. If the triangle has a width of 720mm and a height of 800mm, the required crystal film screens are three 240*1000mm crystal film screens.

Step 2: After ordering the required crystal film screen and receiving it, install the crystal film screen onto the triangle according to the installation process. Then, use cutting tools to trim off the excess screen. Finally, install the power supply and the screen is ready to be lit up.

2. Curved/irregular wall surface: Install along the flexible direction, and finally cut off the excess part

The crystal film screen itself can bend, fitting scenarios such as cylindrical shopping malls and curved background walls in hotels. The key to cutting is to "only cut off the excess, not from the bottom up":

First, measure the circumference and height of the curved surface. For example, if the circumference of the cylinder is 1.2m, choose a screen with a length of 1.2m, which is just right without needing to be cut;

When cutting, only the "part exceeding the installation" can be cut off, for example, if the arc length is 1100mm, then the edge of the 1200mm long screen should be cut off by 100mm;

When pasting, you should also bend it slowly along the flexibility of the screen body. Do not fold it hard, as hard folding may damage the circuit and prevent the screen body from lighting up. After fitting the curved surface, it can not only emit light completely but also perfectly adapt to irregular structures.
